FRESH SNOW MAKES PRIME CONDITIONS FOR SQUAW VALLEY'S 'SQUALLYWOOD' CLINIC

STORY SUMMARY: Jan 23, 2008 – Skiers and snowboarders at Squaw Valley USA are enjoying another foot of fresh snow and a weather forecast that is predicting additional snow throughout the week. These latest storms make conditions prime for the unique Squallywood Ski Clinic taking place on Saturday January 26.

SUGGESTED COPY: Squaw Valley skiers and snowboarders are reveling in the fresh powder after another series of winter storms left up to a foot of new snow on the resort’s upper elevations. With more storms predicted to pass through the area throughout the week, conditions are excellent. Squaw Valley has received 211 inches or 17 1⁄2 feet of snow so far this season and skiers and snowboarders are enjoying base depths measuring 85 to 115 inches or 7 to 9 1⁄2 feet.

All this new snow has made conditions perfect for this Saturday’s Squallywood Ski Clinic. Hailed as the ‘Hollywood” of the ski world, Squaw Valley USA, aka Squallywood, has been featured in countless movies and photo shoots and this clinic is designed to introduce skiers to the more adventurous side of the mountain. The clinic is based on the popular guide book, Squallywood, by Robb Gaffney and Rob himself leads the clinic. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a film and photo shoot as they descend runs featured in the book as well take a mountain-wide tour of some of the most photogenic and interesting runs at Squaw Valley.
