through the region yesterday and last night, covering the area
with the much-welcomed white stuff. Local forecasters are predicting
a chance of flurries today and Saturday with mostly sunny skies
for Sunday.

Peak is scheduled to open December 13 and Homewood
Mountain Resort December 15.

skiers and snowboarders have the opportunity to learn at bargain
prices this weekend. The 8th Annual Learn to Ski and Board Weekend,
scheduled for the December 8-9, costs $25 and includes an all-day
beginner lift ticket, group lesson and gear rental. Participants
should contact ski resorts for specific details.
