STORY
SUMMARY:
Fallon, Nev. (Oct. 8, 2007) – This weekend, those
reveling in the Halloween spirit lost themselves in the Lattin
Farms Corn Maze as part of their annual Fall Festival. Located
in Fallon, Nev., 60 miles east of Reno, the Lattin Farms maze
is one of only two corn mazes west of the Mississippi River
and is created from more than 100,000 stalks of corn on three
acres. A London designer, Adrian Fisher, constructed the corn
maze.
This
year’s theme is a magical maze in which guests receive
clues within the corn stalks to complete a puzzle. From the
air, the outline of a wizard, a magical wand and the magic kingdom
are clearly visible in the maze.
The
maze, which is open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays and from
10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays, costs $7 for people 14 and older
and $5 for children 13 and under. In addition to the maze, a
Saturday visit to Lattin Farms includes a scarecrow-making factory,
a pumpkin patch, hayrides, and more.
Lattin
Farms provides one of many ways to get festive in Reno-Tahoe.
From haunted hotels and ghost walks, to not-so-scary pumpkin
patches and Halloween festivals, visitors can experience it
all.
