SUMMARY: (Squaw Valley USA, Olympic Valley, Calif.) –
December 7, 2009 – A cold, strong Pacific storm combined with
sub-tropical moisture Sunday night and dropped over two feet of fresh
snow at Squaw Valley USA, setting the stage for superb holiday skiing
and riding and peaking excitement for Squaw Valley's 60th anniversary
season.

RELEASE COPY: (Olympic Valley, Calif.) – Skiers and snowboarders
were rejoicing Monday morning as they took advantage of over two feet
of fresh powder that had blanketed Squaw Valley USA Sunday night. Snow
is forecast to continue to fall througout the day Monday, followed by
clear skies and continued cold temperatures midweek. Another storm and
more snow is forecast for the end of the week.
As of
noon, Monday, Squaw Valley had received over two feet of snow, and snow
continued to fall.
"This
storm is prefectly timed for spectacular holiday skiing and riding,"
commented Christine Horvath, Squaw Valley's Director of Marketing.“It
really gives a boost to our big anniversary season.”
Squaw
Valley USA is celebrating two major anniversaries this season - the
60th anniversary of its founding and first season, in 1949-50, as well
as the 50th anniversary of the Eighth Olympic Winter Games, which were
held at Squaw Valley in February, 1960.
All season
