Squaw Valley USA played host to an exposition of historic longboards
put on by the Plumas Ski Club on January 10, 2010 at Resort at Squaw
Creek.

North Lake Tahoe's Olympic Heritage Celebration, underway January 8-17,
commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1960 VIII Olympic Winter Games
held in Squaw Valley and Tahoma, in North Lake Tahoe. The ten-day series
of events inlcudes races, historic tours and reenactments, demonstrations,
expos, parties, and more.

Longboarding
Exposition - January 10th.
Members of the Plumas Ski Club, organizers of the Longboard Revival
Race Series, provided guests and spectators with an exciting demonstration
of historic longboarding on Sunday, January 10th at the Resort at Squaw
Creek at the base of Squaw Valley USA.
Plumas
Ski Club, founded in 1950, promotes community ski events, and preserves
the historic longboarding heritage of Plumas County, site of the oldest
recorded sport skiing in the Western Hemisphere, in 1860.
